How Castor Oil is Effective for Your Thinning Hair
People are losing hope for a healthy scalp and lustrous hair. But while they feel that there is nothing else to do to change the quality of their natural hair with which they are born, there are many other things that can be done to maintain the hair and increase the quality and quantity of hair with the regular treatment.
As today’s costly and chemically-loaded hair products have destroyed the quality of hair and increased the hair thinning problem, there is a need to shift towards more natural products. To tackle the situation of hair thinning, first, it is important to understand the meaning of hair thinning. Most of the people assume that hair loss and hair thinning is one and the same. But there is a vast difference between both.

Hair Loss Vs. Hair Thinning
Hair loss means a reduction in the hair every day. When you brush your hair, and you see a white point at the end of the hair, it indicates the natural shedding of hair because like every living thing, the hair also has an age. But when your hair starts coming out in clumps throughout the day or whenever you run your fingers through your hair it is called hair loss. In short, hair loss is a fast process.
Hair thinning is also a mass decrease in the hair but it is more gradual with age, time and heredity. These reasons result in weaker, fewer and smaller hair follicles. Pollution, unhealthy food habits, stress, hormonal imbalance, dandruff, hair dyeing and less maintenance of hair are also the main reasons for hair thinning. Signs of thinning hair are thinner hair fibres, reduced hair volume, decreased hair density, and more fragile hair. Generally, when men and women start seeing more bald patches and women notice less volume in their ponytail, they notice the problem of hair thinning.

When the problem of hair thinning is experienced, it demands immediate action as hair thinning has not happened overnight. The gradual thinning will need progressive care to strengthen hair, increase its resistance and maintain overall health to ensure that the growth cycle of hair is not hampered. Because losing hair is not the main problem but regrowth is. If the hair is growing from the follicles after losing them then it is totally healthy. But if they are not, then it is a condition when something needs to be done.
Hair-care
If you want to flaunt your beautiful hair then you definitely need to pay regular attention to hair care. Don’t fall in the trap of modern hair care products or even Ayurvedic products for that matter because every product available in the market has the proportion of chemicals in a large or in a small amount in it. Rather directly use natural products like castor oil which are less hazardous and in fact more beneficial to hair. Castor oil is rich in ricinoleic acid. Ricinoleic acid is a kind of fatty acid which fights inflammation. Castor oil also has antifungal and antibacterial properties to make the scalp healthy. Most of the people don’t know how to use castor oil for thin hair. The correct method of castor oil application accelerates the growth of hair.
Castor oil can be used alone or mixed with other oils. Cold-pressed castor oil and Jamaican black castor oil are two types of castor oil for thinning hair. Castor oil in room temperature is thick in consistency. So, it is not easy to apply it on the hair. It needs to be warm as warm oil is thin. But remember it must not be hot. A dropper can be used to put oil efficiently on the scalp area or a cotton ball can also be dipped in oil to spread the oil properly on the scalp. Then massage the scalp gently. Massaging castor oil on the scalp boosts blood circulation to the follicles that aids hair growth, makes hair h3er and thick, and reduces hair fall. Castor oil also makes hair shiny and lustrous.
Using castor oil with essential oils is also very effective. Castor oil can be mixed with rosemary oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, mustard oil, sesame oil, almond oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil, and avocado oil. Rosemary oil is famous to improve the situation of thinning hair. Take three parts of castor oil and one part of rosemary oil. Warm it and apply on the scalp and massage. Wear the shower cap and sleep. Wash the hair on the next day. Repeat this treatment 3 times a week. Applying the mixture of castor oil and rosemary oil overnight can also help in getting a sound sleep with improved hair quality and quantity.
